Just catching up as I have been busy and had to confirm a couple of ID’s (chestnut vs Dark chestnut) with colleagues as they are quite difficult to distinguish sometimes, anyway I did ID correctly the trap produced 6 moths.

  1. 70.247 [B&F: 1926] Pale Brindled Beauty (Phigalia pilosaria)
  2. 73.194 [B&F: 2258] Chestnut (Conistra vaccinii)
  3. 73.195 [B&F: 2259] Dark Chestnut (Conistra ligula) – NFG
  4. 73.249 [B&F: 2190] Hebrew Character (Orthosia gothica)
  5. 70.282 [B&F: 1960] Early Moth (Theria primaria) – NFG
  6. Acleris ????

Good to see that I had 2 new for garden, below are a few pics, unfortunately the Acleris flew before photo and potting up for id conformation so no ID I’m afraid. I may put the trap out tonight but most probably wait until tomorrow when the wind dies down a bit.
