4th March 2017

Didn’t go with the group again last night (man flu), I did however put the trap out and despite the torrential rain from 8pm for a couple of hours necessitating me moving the trap under the eaves of the workshop I had 10 species and one new for garden. Not a bad result considering, getting colder again tonight so wont put the trap out. In future I won’t put pictures up of species already shown unless it’s a particularly good specimen or one of the more variable species.

Very variable, with some eight distinct forms, and most likely to be passed over as a micromoth of the Tortricidae family when it is in fact part of the Nolidae family
